Dear Russell and James, I am so sorry for your loss. Your Grandmother, Watha, and my mother, Mabel, were sisters. I talked with you and your mother at Watha's funeral and your mother and grandmother attended my mother's memorial service in May of 2013. I remember Watha telling us about your mother being the first female coal miner but I had forgotten until I read the obituary. It was a lovely memory. I hope you are very proud of your mother's accomplishments. I also remember your grandfather, Russell. My mother would often take us to visit Watha and Russell.
