Remembering Judson Wallace

I just got word that my dear friend, Judson Wallace, bass singer for the United Gospel Singers and beloved leader of his people on Armstrong Creek in Fayette County, this morning passed from this world to the next. He had an unwavering belief in eternal life through Jesus Christ, and I am sure he is shouting Hallelujah right now, along with Bertha, his wonderful wife and fellow acappella singer. Their world is nearly gone now. I'm thinking of that great old song, "My heavenly home is bright and fair, and I feel like traveling on." The United Gospel Singers electrified listeners at the 2004 FOOTMAD Festival at the Fayette County Park, and again at the Vandalia Gathering at the Friday night opening concert, in about 2006 or so. You can read about their music ministry in Goldenseal, Were Here for Service: United Gospel Singers 38:4;p18. (I wish the dates were listed along with the volume! I can't remember when it was!) Anyway, Rest in Peace, my dear friend, Judson, and I'll Meet You in the Morning, by the bright riverside, when all sorrows have drifted away....
