Connie Lou  Pennington
Connie Pennington age 74 of Sugar Grove, VA formerly of Cannelton passed away at her home on March 21, 2019 after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Alice Keatley Nichols; siblings Sam Nichols Jr., Evelyn Oiler, Susie Lively and her husband divorced Howard Roland Pennington.
Surviving siblings include Betty Nichols of Montgomery, Darrel Nichols and wife Sue of Montgomery, Joe Nichols and wife Jeanette of Illinois, Emma Pennington of Pea Ridge, WV and Leonard Nichols and wife Patricia of Smithers. She was the loving Mother of five children; Linda Bailey of Gastonia, NC, Howard Pennington of Kannapolis, NC, Janet Bensler of Salisbury, NC; Patti Adkins and husband Shane of Lake Wales, Fl and Everette Pennington of Camp, VA; four granddaughters Jennifer Johnson, Wanda Smyth, Madeline Pennington and Jessica Pennington; four grandsons Jimmy Parker, Steve Bensler, Jacob Bensler and Nicholas Bensler; one great grandson Matt Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a wonderful loving, funny, fiery person and she is already missed by her family and friends. May she Rest In Peace.
Service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Pastor Jeff Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow.
