James August Balser 63 of Montgomery died August 14, 2017. He was born August 14, 1954 at Mt. Olive to the late James Henry and Wanda Lee Roat Balser. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Bartley Balser.

He is survived by his daughters; Marianne Sparks of Cincinnati, Ashley Balser of Chelyan, son; James Chapman of Mt. Carbon, step-daughter; Amber Sepcic of Charleston, brothers; Joe Balser of Cincinnati, Jack Balser of Pinch, sisters; Barbara Chapman of Mt. Carbon, Mary Kelly of South Carolina, Ida Miller of Charleston, Sadie Hicks of Cedar Grove, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild on the way.
