Condolence From: Norm Roush
Condolence: Certainly I was sad to see Jim's obituary in the Gazette-Mail. It is with mixed emotions that I offer these comments.
As is always the case you hate to see a friend leave us but you also feel good that you got to know this person and to share not only your common work but also as a friend. Throughout my career at the DOH-DOT, I worked with Jim in his representation of consulting engineering firms. He always represented them quite well.
When Jim came into the offiwe We shared stories about our families and our experiences.
The one thing I remember most was his pride in his family. His daughters were the pride of his life. I know Betsy best since we shared the same interest in engineering along with Jim. Betsy, I am sure you remember coming to my office to share your grades with your Dad. He was so proud. In the last few years we have somewhat lost contact especially when we moved away.
May God bless you all and may you understand that I respected him for his love of highway engineering and of WV.

Condolence: Betsy,
I am so sorry to hear if your Dad's passing. It was my pleasure to have met him at Greystone during my days of working in activities. My thoughts and prayers are with you all in the days to come.

Condolence: I became acquainted with Jim nearly 40 years ago, and came to look forward to his visits to my office at the airport, as they eventually transcended our business relationship and turned into friendship. He was quite a man, and I was very sorry to hear of his passing. I offer my sincere condolences to the family.
