Obituary for Mabel Maxine Matics

Mabel Maxine Matics age 89 of Boomer entered peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on February 14, 2019 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. Born of December 2, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mabel Holley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Lloyd Matics Jr.; sister Norma Whitley and brother-in-saw Kyle Whitley.
She was a graduate of Montgomery High School and worked for several years at the Semet-Solvay Company store at Harewood. She was a retired employee of Craigsville Distributing of Chelyan and a longtime member of Boomer Baptist Church.
Surviving: stepchildren Jeff Matics and wife Connie o f Magnolia, TX, Virginia Mullins and husband Bill of Falls View, Barbara Holland and husband Ed of Scottsdale, AZ; 5 grandchildren, 11 Great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; niece Susette Tomaselli and husband Cosmo of Birmingham, AL.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Bowers Hospice House where Maxine received wonderful care. Special thanks to David West for his in home visits and to the card ministries of Boomer Baptist Church and the Ladies Mission Circle of Bell Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
Service will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Pastor Mark Strickland and David West officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park, London and the family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
