Obituary for William Howard Lipscomb, Jr.

William Howard Lipscomb Jr. was born on August 21, 1955 in Charleston to the union of the late Helen and Rev. William Lipscomb Sr. He was also preceded in death by Dorothy Wright, Helena Lipscomb and Tanisha Webster. He joined the United States Marines on July 10, 1974 and he later began driving for interstate trucking until 1994. He formerly worked at the South Charleston Stamping Plant.
On September 28, 2002 he married Vernelle Stockton. In addition to his wife he leaves to cherish his stepdaughters Tiana and Janay and his grandchildren Tristan and Jada while joining his grandsons Prince and Tahj in heaven. Additional surviving family are Leona (Claude) Rodeheaver, Joey, Jessica, Patricia Wattie, Michael Wattie, Jr., Nikki Wattie, and Sean Wattie.
Service will be 10:00 AM on Friday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. William I. Kinney officiating. Burial will follow in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar with Military Honors. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
