Obituary for Letitia Spaulding


“Our sweet Nana, Letitia Spaulding is finally at peace with her beloved husband. She taught us many things especially the importance of family. We were blessed for many years to have her in our lives. She loved us with all her heart just as we loved her. She will be missed by everyone who knew her
She was a resident of Smithers and was born September 15, 1925 in Saltcoats, Scottland and was the daughter of the late David and Genetta Beverage Hamilton. She was also preceded in death by her husband Lillmon “Speed” Spaulding. Nana entered into rest on January 5, 2019.
She was retired as postmaster in Longacre with 30 years of service.
Surviving: children Kenneth “Ken” Spaulding and wife Mary Kaye of Columbus, OH and Patricia “Pat” Barnett and husband Donald of Powellton; sisters Nancy Giblin and husband Terry of New Zeland and Genetta TePaa of New Zeland; grandchildren Patti Dawn Bradley, Lori Dalporto, Donald Barnett Jr. and Kimberly Beuscher; great-grandchildren Jarrod, Ashton, Caitlin, Nicholas, Bailee, Alexandria, Chase and Dominic; great-great-grandchildren Alden, River and Aiden.

Service will be at 6:00 PM Wednesday at O’Dell Funeral Home in Montgomery with Rev. Eddie Farley officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home where expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
