Obituary for Harry Kenneth Rhodes

Harry Kenneth Rhodes, 91, formerly of Handley, West Virginia, passed away on September 4, 2018, in Manassas, Virginia.
Harry Kenneth was born in Handley, WV to Andrew and Henrietta (Miller) Rhodes on December 26, 1926. He graduated from East Bank High School in 1944. He married Margaret Crow on February 9, 1947. Harry worked as a Locomotive Engineer for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad for 45 years. He served in the Army near the end of World War II.
Harry Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Elizabeth Kenworthy; and his brothers David E., Andrew Jr., and William J.
Harry Kenneth is survived by his son, Harry David Rhodes of Erie, PA; sister, Helen J. Kneisley of Columbus, OH; granddaughters, Hilary K. Robinson and husband John of North Easton, MA., Natalie K Short and husband Christopher of Gainesville, VA., Ashley R Kenworthy and husband Philip Robertson of Chantilly, VA, and Sara Elizabeth Rhodes of Erie; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Mae Robinson, Liam Kenworthy Short, and Max Kenworthy Short, son-in-law, Donald Kenworthy of Manassas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family of Harry Kenneth wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Manassas Home Instead Senior Care caregivers for their professionalism, kindness, and friendship to him for the past four years.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 22, from Noon to 2 PM at the O’Dell Funeral Home in Montgomery, WV. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM at O’Dell’s with the Reverend James Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow at the Restlawn Memory Gardens in Victor, WV.
