Obituary for Jack Elliott Dempsey

Jack Elliot Dempsey 71 of Montgomery, West Virginia passed away on September 17, 2018 after a long illness.

Jack was a proud Army Veteran, having served two tours in Vietnam. He retired after 37 years of service for the US Postal Service. He was also a member of Deepwater Church of the Living Water, a man of both God and family, now free of suffering in Heaven.

Jack was preceded in death by his father; Elliot Dempsey, mother; Marjorie Johnson, and brother; Douglas
Dempsey.

He is survived by the love of his life Judith Dempsey, to whom he was married 48 years. Sons; Michael (Tonia) and Gregory (Amy) of East Bank and daughter; Karen Dempsey of Oak Hill. Grandchildren; Allyson and Landon Dempsey of East Bank. Sister; Kathryn (Randall) of Nashville, Tennessee and brother; John Dempsey of Charleston, with several nieces and nephews.

Service will be held at O’Dell Funeral Home in Montgomery by Reverend Randy Black on Friday September 21 at 2:00 pm. Friends may call from 12 to 2. Burial will take place at Montgomery Memorial Park, London.
