Obituary for James Hobert "Pee Wee" Black

James H. “Pee Wee” Black age 62 of Pratt died April 25, 2018. He was born February 21, 1956 in Montgomery and was the son of Joyce Black and the late Charles Patrick Black.

He was a Humane officer in Kanawha County for 25 years and he was of the Christian belief.

Surviving: son Josh “Bear” Black and wife Sara of Handley; grandson Joshua Black of Handley; step-children Mary “MiMi”Zakarej and her husband Chris of Virginia and Herbert “Herbie” Chancellor and his wife Misty of Sissonville; Mom Joyce Black of Gassaway; sisters Brenda Stucky and husband Jim of Charleston, Patsy George and husband Rick of Hansford and Pam Craner and husband Frank of Richmond, VA; brothers Steve Hess of Clinton, NC and John M. Hess and his wife Debbie of Cedar Grove and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staffs of David Lee Cancer Center and the Kanawha Hospice Care for their wonderful care and also thank all those who prayed for “Pee Wee” and his family.

Service will be at 1:00 PM on Monday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Roy Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park at London.
