Ethel Auxier age 89 of Cannelton died April 5, 2018. She was born January 7, 1929 in Clay County, WV and was the daughter of the late Rickard Clark and Maggie Bird Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband and father of her children Leon Thomas Elliott, her daughter Julia Carolyn Strickland and her husband Eugene Auxier.

She was a member of the Apostolic Light House Church at Powellton.

Surviving: children Retha Caren McCann Saunders and husband Phillip of Dixie, Larry Elliott of Montgomery, Kathy Nottingham and husband Ray of Indore, Judy Carmichel and husband Randy of Rockport, Connie Buckbee and husband Duane of Gauley Bridge, Earnest Elliott of Mt. Nebo and Ivan Elliott of Dixie; 12 step-children, 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; brothers Gus and Graville.

Service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Daniel Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow.
