Obituary for Roger Lee Jenkins

Roger Lee Jenkins 70 of Hansford passed away on March 9, 2018 after a long illness. He was born on July 19, 1947 in Whittaker, WV to the late Matt and Lillie Asbury Jenkins of Paint Creek.

Preceding him in death along with his parents are, Matt and Ralph, as well as three infant sisters.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friend Gene Goodwin and brother Carl, as well as helping out at the William T. Elswick ball field in Hansford.

He is survived by his special niece Carla Jenkins of Holly Grove who looked after him, brother; Carl Jenkins (Becky) of Holly Grove, sisters; Alice Ickler of Tridelphia, WV, Jenny Olejasz (Joe) of Wheeling, Barb Lawson of Genoa, IL., and Jackie Green of Teays Valley, WV. Sister-in-law; Barb Jenkins of Pratt, WV, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

As per Rogers request, his body has been cremated.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Montgomery Rehab and Nursing.

A special thanks to Dr. Atassi and staff of Montgomery Rehab and Nursing for their excellent care they have given Roger. Thanks to Dr. Khalid and staff at David Lee Cancer Center.

A memorial service to honor Rogers life will be held at noon, on Thursday, March 15 at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Bill Counts officiating. Friends may call from 11:30 until time of service at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
