Obituary for Edwin L. "Eddie" Cole

Edwin L. "Eddie" Cole, age 65, of Smithers, died January 26, 2018, in Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston. He was born April 23, 1952, in Longacre and was the son of the late Gordon and Mildred Williams Cole. He was also preceded in death by his ex-wife and companion, Rebecca Cole.

He was an Army veteran, a disabled coal miner and former member of the UMWA. He was a member Gold Prospectors of America and the Lost Dutchman's Mining Association.

Surviving: step-son, David Adkins and his wife Melissa of Ripley; three grandchildren, Dakota, Taylor Paige and Hunter.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park at London, W.Va. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
