Obituary for Sandra Kay Puffenbarger

Sandra "Kay" Puffenbarger age 61 of Powellton passed away with family by her side in her home on December 5, 2017 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born December 20, 1955 to the late George E. Pritt and Sarah L. Pritt of Cannelton, WV. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Pritt of Hugheston, WV and Greg Pritt of Pensacola, FL.

She was loved by many. She came from a very large family. She had 11 brothers, and 2 sisters. Through the years she was the one responsible for organizing "Sunday Dinner" for the Pritt family. She helped to make sure her family members never went without. Although she had 2 sons of her own, many nieces and nephews looked at "Kay-Kay" as a second mom.

Kay would move to Powellton, WV to be closer to her grandchildren. She always made sure the candy drawer was stocked and there was plenty of ice cream in the freezer when they came over. She would spend evenings on the porch watching them play. This is how she would spend the last years of her life, surrounded by what she loved most.

She is survived by her husband, Corbertt Puffenbarger of Powellton, WV, son; Michael Pritt and wife Teresa of Powellton, son; Brian Puffenbarger of Powellton, WV, four grandchildren, Alexis Gibson, Rylee Pritt, Garrett Pritt, and Levi Pritt all of Powellton, WV., nine brothers; Randal Pritt of Morris Drive, Dennis Pritt of Cannelton, Terry Pritt of Powellton, WV, Jerry Pritt of Cannelton, WV, Roger Pritt of Smithfield, NC, Kenneth Pritt of Mebane, NC, George D. Pritt of Boomer, WV, Steven Pritt of Cannelton, WV, and Gary Pritt of Lashmeat, WV, two sisters; Barbara McMillion of Peterstown, WV, and Mary Roat of Bull Push, WV, she is also survived by 17 nephews, 11 nieces, 22 great-nephews, and 19 great-nieces.

Service will be at 11:30AM, Saturday, December 9, 2017 at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Rodney Nicholas officiating. Burial will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow. Friends may call from 6-9PM Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
