Obituary for Dewey B. Arthur
Dewey B. Arthur age 79 of Smithers died August 27, 2017. He was born June 12, 1938 in Fayette County and was the son of the late Percy H. and Virginia Manley. He was also preceded in death by his wife Frances Kay Arthur and daughter Virginia Renee Ramsey.
He was a retired coal miner and member and a local president of the UMWA. He was a US Army veteran.
Survivors: children Janet Adams of Glasgow, Kim Bethea and husband Mark of Fredericksburg, VA and Mike Arthur and wife Rosemary of Smithers; sisters Sharon Weese and Donna Humphreys and brother James Bailes; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park, London. Friends may call two hours prior to service at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
