Obituary for Anna Kate Dillard

Anna Kate Dillard, 96, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2017. Born February 12, 1921 in Atlanta, Georgia and was a graduate of Simmons High School. She retired from the Fayette County Head Start Program where she loved cooking for the children.

At the time of her death she was the oldest living member of the First Baptist Church of Boomer. As a faithful member she served on the kitchen committee and usher board.

She was predeceased by her mother Anna Mae Taylor, her loving husband, Frank Dillard Jr., sister and brother in law Mittie and Franklin Hale, sister Elaine Taylor and children, Robert Dillard Saunders and Marvin Dillard Saunders.

She is survived by daughters Anna Marie Geter, Francine Dillard, and son, Frank W. Dillard, III. seven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great grandchild as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held August 5, 2017 at 1PM at First Baptist Church of Boomer, Route US 60, Boomer WV 25031 with Rev. Ron Smith officiating. Entombment will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow. Family will receive friends from noon until start of service.
