Preceding him in death was his wife of 68 years Virginia Nicholas; daughter Linda Kay Light; daughter-in-law Judy Nicholas; parents Charles and Alva Nicholas; brothers Everett, Elwood, Olaf and Charles; sisters Thelma and JoAnne.

Surviving: sons Lee and Doy "Toy Boy" Nicholas both of Powellton and Rod and his wife Sherry of Sutton; brother Lionel of Pennsylvania; sisters Lula Cadle of Chloe, Nettie Nicholas of Duck and Elizabeth Thomasson of Hurricane; grandchildren Christy Jarrett, Timmy Nicholas, Becky Pauley, Scott Light, Danny Light, Amy Sargent and Debi Gipson; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends and a long time friend that visited faithfully, Brother Joe Callison.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Montgomery General Extended Care Unit. They treated Dad as their own.

Service will be 2:00 PM on Tuesday at the Open Bible Temple Independent Baptist Church in Powellton with Rev. Leonard Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park at London.
