Obituary for Willie Beatrice "Toot" Anderson

Beatrice “Toot” Anderson 75 of Powellton, WV passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 after a long battle with COPD and congestive heart failure. Beatrice known to all as “Toots” was born on March 15, 1942 in Birmingham, AL.

She was preceded in death by both her parents; Nazaree Marie and Henry Jack Hickman, also Annie and Sam Dixon who she referred to her as momma and daddy. She was also preceded in death by brothers; Henry, Walter, and Sylvester Hickman, sisters; Eunice Hickman, Shirley Turner, Alice Daniels, and Jacqueline Hickman.

Beatrice was a loving mother and grandmother who would do anything for her children. She was a caregiver by nature, helping to care for her parents, aunt, uncle, and a host of family friends. She was employed by the Schwabe Family, Kanawha Janitorial Services, Daddys O’s Restaurant, and Montgomery General Elderly Care.

She leaves to forever cherish her memories, daughters; Marilyn Marie Scott (Greg), Elmeta “Mimi” Thornton (Mark), sons; Leonard “Chucki” Anderson III, Anthony LaMont Anderson (Stacey), grandsons; Austin Mar’Shawn Thornton, Anthony LaMont Anderson II, brothers; Josh Beasley (Catherine), Carl Edward Hickman, sisters; Loretta Beasley, Amelia Jean Rogers, Margaret Ann Hickman, and Marie Ann Fairfax.
