Obituary for Phyllis "Jane" Elgin
Phyllis "Jane" Beason Elgin, age 78, of Montgomery, died February 16, 2018. She was born December 1, 1939, at London, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late William W. Beason and the late Martha Alberta Perkins Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Elgin; and brother, Benjamin Lee Smith.
She was a 1957 graduate of Cedar Grove High School and a former employee of West Virginia Tech and a former member of the Smithers Church of God.
Surviving: daughter, Laura Elgin of Montgomery, and her sister, Carol Beason of Montgomery.
Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery, with Brother John Wriston officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park at London. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
