Obituary for Alcurtis Conyer, Sr.

Alcurtis Conyer Sr., 60, of Montgomery, slipped into his eternal life on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. He was born on April 24, 1957 in Wilmington, DE, son of the late Thomas and Alice Conyer.

He was of graduate from Montgomery High School. After school he was employed by Valley Camp Coal Company, Wendy’s, Monty’s, and Montgomery General Hospital Elderly Care, which he truly enjoyed working there being able to fellowship with the patients.

Alcurtis was a faithful member of the St. John Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Anita Conyer and Beverly Carter; brother (cousin) Thomas Ellerbe.

He is survived by one son Alcurtis Conyer Jr.; one grandson Cameron Conyer; sister, Gloria Conyer; sisters (cousins) Henretta Wallace and Pearlie Hill; brothers (cousins) Carl Riley and Mckensity Ellerbe (Shirley); and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p. m. Sunday, January 21, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. A. Douglas Mullins officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. The burial will follow the service at Meadow HavenCemetery in Ingram Branch, WV.
