Obituary for Frank Parker

Frank Parker age 83 of Powellton died December 16, 2017 at home. He was born July 5, 1934 at Eagle and he was the son of the late Jay and Audie Parker. He was also predeceased by his wife Glenna Parker and his son Eddie Parker and grandchildren Keith Parker and Candice Parker and son-in-law David Gray.

Frank was a retired electrician from Peabody Coal Company and a member of the UMWA. He was a member of the Open Bible Temple at Powellton and a US Army Veteran.

Surviving: children Mary Hughes and her husband Skip of Proctorville, Ohio, Tenna Gray of Montgomery, Freddie of Powellton, Annette Bennett and her husband Tim of Charleston; Frank loved his many grandchildren, his great-grandchildren, and his great-great grandchildren. Love and gratitude to Christina Gray and Missy Dorsey for their unconditional love and care.

Service will be at 1:00 PM Thursday at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Greg Toney and Rev. Roger Comer officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
