Obituary for Eugene Easterling

Eugene Easterling age 92 of Smithers died December 7, 2017. He was born in Kentucky on February 28, 1925 and he was the son of the late Ernest and Dolly Pennington Easterling. He was also preceded in death by his wife Pauletta Easterling and son Rodney Easterling.

He was retired from Semet-Solvay Coal Company and was a World War II veteran and a member of the UMWA and he attended the Church of God at Jodie and Bentree.

Surviving: son Michael Easterling of Mt. Carbon; brothers Chester Easterling of Smithers, Orville Easterling of Mt. Sterling, KY and Earl Easterling of Houston, TX; sisters Irene White of Smithers and Addy Pell of Ashville, NC; grandson Joshua Easterling and his wife Meagan of Smithers and great-grandchildren Jay, Jax and Jan.

Service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Timmy Easterling officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park at London. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
