Obituary for Zachary Tyler Feltner

Zachary Tyler Feltner; AKA Bubby, 509, Twin Nephew, Big Daddy, Horse, Cowboy, Diesel, Big Mother Trucker, and Zooacky, age 31, of Beckley, formerly of Lookout answered his final call by the profession of faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and went home to be with the Lord on February 10, 2017. He was born February 24, 1985 to Tina Feltner Wriston.

Zack spent his short life putting others and their needs before his own whether it was feeding someone who was in need of a meal, spending money he really didn't have to help someone in need, a simple smile or silly comment to cheer you up and put a smile on your face.

His fire and EMS career started at a very young age with numerous accomplishments throughout the years. His servitude was his passion, pride and lifetime commitment. His aspiration to be the best at what he did has been displayed distinctively over the past few months of his time here on earth. The outpouring of love and compassion was a true reciprocation of the love he had for others. He will forever be remembered for his heart and personality which were much bigger than life itself. May he continue to live on in each of us by extending that in our lives.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Jack R. Feltner and uncle Jack "Micah" Feltner.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved daughter Khloe Brooke Feltner; mother Tina Feltner Wriston; sister Ellison "Elli",Wriston, brother Lance C. Wriston, maternal grandmother Vickie "Mom" L. Feltner; uncle Joel E. Feltner and his wife Heather, Aaron A. Feltner and his wife Tara; aunt Karen Feltner and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins who were more like sisters and brothers to him and with an extended family and friends in the fire and EMS community who he loved as his own family.

If Zack could tell you one thing it would be February 24, 1985 - February 10, 2017 the beginning and end are important but what is remembered the most about your life is the Dash.

A special thank you to CAMC Memorial nurses of 3 North, Dr. Perry and nurses of CPICU, Letha and pallitive care team and the Hubbard Hospice House staff.

Zack fought some of the most malicious things of this world hate, fire and cancer to name a few but in the end FAITH is and was his victory: II Timothy 4:6-7 and John 3:16.

Zack's service with full fireman honors will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Hughes Creek Community Church with Pastor Gary Tucker and Rev. David Minturn officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens at Victor. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and after the burial on Wednesday there will be a meal prepared for the family and friends upon returning from the cemetery.
