The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Alvin Gooden can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Many years ago, while working at the DMV, it was always a pleasure to run into the high spirited Pete Gooden. You usually heard him before you saw him. I am sure he is walking the streets of gold and a whistling along, just like the hallways of the DMV. Thoughts n Prayers.

Condolence: Saying goodbye to someone we love is heartbreaking. May you find comfort in knowing that our heavenly Father knows the heartbreak of loss and is here for us as he promised at Isaiah 43:2 "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, And through the rivers, they will not flood over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame singe you."   Although death is the most heartbreaking experience we will ever face we are not left without hope.  God promises to bring our loved ones back to life through a resurrection as he promised at, Isaiah 25:8 " He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces."  How we long for that truly special day to embrace them again!
