Condolence: Mornings are known to bring newness & freshness. The difference is often perspective, changing how we handle or approach challenges in our time in this world. James severely altered my view via the tremendous developments he saw & nurtured in my musical talent & skills, and the integrity & passion for excellence he demonstrated. I very much look forward to enjoying his presence when we again meet & make excellent music praising Jesus in Heaven.

Condolence: So saddened to hear of Jim's passing. He was a great man, teacher and friend. He was awfully good to Randy when he was in his band. That band was so great. We remember all the games, band festivals and practices. I remember Randy's first band practice and sitting there listening to them, thinking my goodness they'll never be ready for their first game. How embarrassing it was going to be. Then Jim did a miracle and they were not only ready but they were wonderful. He always worked wonders with his students. All the awards they received was because of a great band director named Jim Anderson, affectionately known as Mr.A. Our Prayers for his family and multitude of friends to find peace and comfort knowing that Jim is leading Gods band. Rest in Peace Mr.A we will miss you.🙏🙏🙏

Condolence: We were saddened to read of the passing of another dedicated music teacher. In observing Jim over the years, he had an incredible passion for his work. It showed in their performances, the student's curiosity and their personalized effort and study, growth and improvement. Jim sent me several private students over the years and they were absolutely delightful to work with. Jim's efforts will not be for naught since he touched so many lives with his total efforts. He will be missed.

He had such a giving spirit and added so much to our music in singing and playing any percussion I threw his way. What a gift he gave to us in sharing that talent. Condolence: He was a wonderful teacher who taught me how to master the clarinet. He always had the greatest stories to tell us in class and always found a way to make us laugh. I learned so much from him during my time in junior high. He will be missed dearly. I pray that God bring ease to his family, friends, former students, and acquaintances during this time of sorrow.

Condolence: I am so sad to learn of Jim's passing. I remember him well as a great drummer with The Showmen, the band in which he and my late husband, Charlie Cox, were members. Charlie admired Jim for his musical talent and friendship. My condolences to the family. I know Jim will be greatly missed.

Condolence: Dear Anderson family, Jim was a dear classmate friend from college (WVIT)from the early 1960s. I practice taught at East Bank HS in 1965 under Mr. George Shawver. I knew Jim well and we ran into each other over the decades many times and continued our friendship via email. He was a fabulous person. Teachers are the finest people in the world and he reached many fine young people with his superior talents. He will be sorely missed. I hope to be reunited with him some day. God Bless. Condolence: I'm so sorry for the loss of Mr. Anderson! He was a wonderful teacher! He had a way with us kids he taught to make us feel special! Even today many years after having him as a teacher when I would see him out at Walmart and places he would still stop and say hello and give ya that smile he had. Not many people do that now days!
