Obituary for Johnny Joseph Lorea

Johnny Joseph Lorea age 84 was called by his Lord and Savior on May 13, 2015 after a short illness. Johnny was born in Boomer on September 4, 1930 and lived in Boomer all his life. The fourth of ten children he was preceded in death by his father Felix Lorea, mother Anna Marie Petrella Lorea; sister Yulonda and brother Sammy.

He is survived by sisters Mary, Angelina, Genevieve and her husband Harry, Marguerite, Mafalda and brother Frank and his wife Nella. He was uncle to 8 nieces and nephews and twenty great nieces and great nephews and two great-great nieces. Everyone in the community knew his as "Uncle Johny".

Johnny received his B.S. Degree from West Virginia Institute of Technology and he retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways after 20 years of service. He was in the US Air Force and a veteran of the Korean War.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM on Monday at St. Anthony's Shrine Catholic in Boomer with Fr. Mark Gallipeau as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park at London. Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Sunday at the church.
