Roy Erwin Vealey loving husband and father age 73, of Paint Creek. died July 4, 2014. He was born November 1, 1940 in Greencastle, WV and was the son of the late Walter and Thelma Marshall Vealey. He was also preceded in death by his brother Jesse Vealey.

He was retired from West Virginia American Water Company in Charleston and he was a member and former treasure of the First Baptist Church of Standard. He was also a member of the Lower Paint Creek Water Shed Association and he was on the board of the Upper Kanawha PSD.


Surviving; wife Janet Jones Vealey; children Roy Alan Vealey and his wife Chrisetta of Paint Creek, Annjeanette Vealey and her companion Shovik Sengupta of South Charleston, Anita Vealey Jones and her husband Mark of Charleston, Aimee Vealey and her husband Charles of Paint Creek; brother Glen Vealey of Crede; sisters Dorothy Adkins of Ripley and Imogene Morgan of Hurricane; step-brother Sonny Estep; grandchildren Chelcee, Laura, Austin, Sam, Abigail, Claira, Kolteen and Jaxon.

Service will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with the Rev. Gary Tincher officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will follow on Friday at 1:00 PM at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfunealhome.com
