Obituary for Frankie Lee Vermillion

Frankie Lee Vermillion, 68, of Sissonville, WV, passed away April 21, 2011 at home after a short illness.
He was born April 21, 1943. He grew up in the Montgomery area. He entered the U.S. Navy at an early age and served on U.S.S. Kitty Hawk as air traffic flagger guiding planes onto the ship. He was honorably discharged.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Ritz; his step- father, Lawrence Ritz; and his ex-wife, Janet Vermillion.
He is survived by his son, Frankie Lawrence Vermillion; granddaughter, LeAnn Michelle Vermillion; grandson, Chandler Scott Vermillion; ex-daughter in law and caretaker for many years, Dee Miller and spouse John Miller, also caretaker Rebecca Johnson.
Service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at O’Dell Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow with military honors. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6 until 9 at the funeral home.
